Modulating Perceived Affordances in Augmented Reality Through Object Physicality and Thermal Appearance

Abstract

This study investigates how the physicality and thermal appearance of virtual objects influence perceived affordances in AR. By varying object properties and thermal visual cues, it examines how material appearance changes what actions users feel an object affords.
