A unifying method-based classification of robot swarm spatial self-organisation behaviours

Abstract

This paper proposes a method-based classification of robot-swarm spatial self-organisation. It unifies behaviours and control methods across aggregation, flocking, coverage, and pattern formation, providing a framework for comparing how swarm-level spatial structures are produced.
