Projects
ARAVIDEN
This project aims to explore Augmented Reality (AR) user identification with AR virtual avatars from a human centered perspective. Identification is a psychological phenomenon representing the merger of user and avatar which forms a new identity.
ARTUISIS
Project funded by the French National Research Agency, led by Jérémy Rivière
ICADAR
Joint program with UniSA, aiming at improving autonomous vehicle drivers’ confidence via Augmented Reality visualization of artificial intelligence decision-making context.
IPER-XR
Joint program with CLARTE, to develop a methodological framework for the development of component-based XR applications to improve the perception and efficiency of XR tasks through the adjustment of the representation during interaction.
LabInVirtuo
Project funded by the French National Research Agency, led by Ronan Querrec.

MARAE
A joint program with Orange labs on representation of remote collaborative environements in Mixed Reality.
REEGAR
An exploratory program on the use of EEG to understand the perception of virtual or real objects.
SurréARisme
A joint program with University of Tokyo and Centrale Nantes to design new rendering techniques to provide better representations of objects in Augmented Reality.
GUEVARA
The project aims to develop a theme that is currently underdeveloped in the field of virtual and augmented reality. The aim is to propose visualization techniques for mixed reality adapted to spatially complex learning tasks. This objective is first of all part of a methodological approach aiming at exploring the different types of possible representations, based on perceptual evaluations and metrics. However, this preliminary work also aims at proposing specific evaluations for certain learning tasks, allowing to facilitate the design of mixed reality applications adapted to this use case.
PhD Thesis
Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, these words as well as their applications are gradually becoming common usage. However, the reality proposed by these technologies is not identical to our regular reality.
